So, what do you get?
I wasn’t entirely sure exactly what you get when you order a rolling chassis from AK, so I thought I’d try to document it here, in case you’re considering buying one yourself.
- Chassis – powder coated
- Brakes
- Discs
- Pads
- Callipers
- Brake lines – copper and run from the engine bay to flexies ready to connect onto the callipers. This also includes all of the unions fitted. Connectors are 7/16″ UNF thread.
- Fuel tank (14 gallon) including swirl pot (for LS3 EFi)
- Braided fuel lines run from the tank to the engine bay, riveted to the chassis with P-Clips
- Single piece body with doors and bonnet pre-hung. Boot, trims and dashboard also included but supplied loose
- Build wheels
- XJ40 refurbished running gear:
- front and rear axles
- differential
- drive shaft connected to diff and left with UJ ready for transmission
- Suspension (Camber and caster pre-set)
- Power steering rack
- Radiator with 16″ fan
- Header tank (for LS3)
- Body nuts and bolts
- Kit nuts and bolts
- Brackets:
- Engine
- Transmission
- Bumper
- Handbrake
- Roll bars (option)
- Engine bay clad in stainless steel
