Battery bay

Having spent months deliberating what to do with the battery bay, we’ve come to quite an elegant solution. The challenge was to fit the large battery, isolator and main fuse, in under the rear quarter whilst still maintaining access to all three but also to hide them behind a covered panel.

After some delicate wood work we fashioned a frame, re-crimped the battery leads and fitted into the boot.

To hold the battery in place I cut 2 slots in the base of the battery bay, fed some Velcro straps through and glassed over them for added strength and to seal the slots.
