So I finally took the plunge and bought a set of spangley new wheels for the Cobra. After months of research I settled on the American Racing VN407s from Vintage Wheels US that have some lovely licensed Shelby branding and spinners. They’ll also paint the inner sections any colour you like for $100 a wheel. In the end i decided I liked the grey anyway so saved a few quid.
Bob Lacey from Vintage Wheels was an absolute star and I can’t recommend them enough. Thanks Bob!
I’ll get some proper photos once the weather turns, but here’s a few from the phone.

In an ideal world i’d have the rears another 5mm less on the offset (-18mm) but you can’t get any more backspace due to the construction of the soft-look rim.
Still looks good IMHO and will probably put a small billet spacer on in the future.
The tyres are:
Rear: Michelin Pilot Super Sport (BMW) 255/40
Front: Michelin Pilot Super Sport 225/35 R18 Y
I’d probably go for a slightly less aggressive profile on both for the next set.
